Less than 100 days into his second term in office, President Donald J. Trump and his administration have begun to reshape the face of higher education through a series of sweeping and controversial executive actions. His administration has also emboldened allies in North Carolina and elsewhere to pursue changes of their own at the state, system, and institutional levels.
Our higher education reporters, joined by national editors from The Chronicle of Higher Education and Open Campus, convened on Tuesday, March 25 to discuss what we are seeing in North Carolina two months into the second Trump presidency.
Our panelists include:
- Sarah Brown, The Chronicle of Higher Education
- Erin Gretzinger, The Assembly
- Matt Hartman, The Assembly
- Colleen Murphy, Open Campus
This discussion is moderated by Emily Stephenson, Deputy Managing Editor at The Assembly.
