While there’s rain in the forecast, it may not be enough to deter people from getting outside. This weekend, we’ve got an array of events including a plant sale, live music and dancing, a celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander culture, a chance at free comic books, and more. Passalong Plant Sale @ NC Cooperative Extension – Guilford Center
On Friday through Saturday afternoon, plant enthusiasts can visit the Guilford County branch of the state’s cooperative extension to buy an array of perennials, natives, pollinator plants, shrubs, trees, and houseplants. Local Folk GSO Summer Tour Kick-Off @ Natty Greene’s

In anticipation of this year’s Folk Festival, organizers have scheduled an evening of free live music at Natty Greene’s. Visitors will be the first to experience this year’s festival lineup and hear local talent. Learn more here.

Noches Latinas with Maria Gonzalez and Casa Azul of Greensboro @ LeBauer Park

Once you’ve had your fill of Asian food and finished watching dance performances, why not try your hand at some moves in the park? 10th Annual Wheels on the Greenway @ Woven Works Park
9 a.m.-1 p.m.
This free community event celebrates wheels of all kinds, including bikes, trikes, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, strollers, and wagons. Join the fun by hitting the downtown greenway, where interactive activities like cycle demos, helmet giveaways, repair stations, and skateboard demos will keep participants moving and grooving. Family Fun Festival @ LeBauer Park
10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Sky Watch for Audubon Spring Bird Count @ 6062 N. Church Street

Bird enthusiasts who have ever wanted to improve their identifying skills will get a crash course from Haw River State Park staff. Get the Tea at CAN-NC! Designing Functional Teapots
10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Starting on May 4, the Creative Aging Network will host a 6-week class for participants to create their own functional teapot. Students will learn how to throw a pot on the wheel and then shape, assemble, and finish their pots from start to pour. Prior wheel-throwing experience is helpful but not required. Greensboro Food Truck Festival 2025 @ 203 N. Church Street
2-8 p.m.
It’s back. The yearly free food truck festival that draws thousands of hungry stomachs returns to Greensboro this Sunday. More than 50 food trucks offering everything from ice cream to hot chicken to noodles to crab cakes to dumplings to lobster rolls and more will entice customers. But beware, lines get long and waits can take a while, so get there early if you can. Learn more here.
