North Carolina Republican gubernatorial nominee Mark Robinson is facing renewed scrutiny after two national media reports Thursday uncovered alleged comments on a porn forum and an account on a website known for extramarital affairs.
The reports come just weeks after an Assembly investigation revealed that, according to six eyewitnesses, Robinson frequented Greensboro video-porn shops in the 1990s and early 2000s.
In a video posted to his social media accounts shortly before CNN’s report was published, Robinson issued a blanket denial and vowed to stay the in race, despite facing pressure from some Republicans to withdraw before a key deadline Thursday night.
“Our opponents are desperate to shift the focus here from the substantive issues to salacious tabloid trash,” Robinson said. “We are staying in this race and we are in to win it.”

Here’s what CNN and Politico reported on Thursday.
CNN: Robinson Called Himself ‘Black Nazi’ on Porn Site

CNN reported Thursday that Robinson allegedly made numerous “gratuitously sexual and lewd” comments on an adult website called “Nude Africa.”
In an October 2010 discussion about Black Republicans, he posted, “I’m a black NAZI!” That same month he also posted, “Slavery is not bad. Some people need to be slaves. I wish they would bring it (slavery) back. I would certainly buy a few.”
Other comments included:
- “I’d take Hitler over any of the shit that’s in Washington right now!” in a March 2012 discussion.
- “and the moral of this storyβ¦.. Donβt fuck a white bitch!” in a December 2010 discussion over whether they believed a woman who said she was raped.
- “I like watching tranny on girl porn! Thatβs fucking hot! It takes the man out while leaving the man in!” a discussion where he added “yeah I’m a ‘perv’ too.”
- “I sat there for about an hour and watched as several girls came in and showered,” in a discussion about “peeping” on women showering in a public gym as a teenager.
Robinson told CNN that he denied making any of these comments. However, CNN’s investigation established that the username and email used on the Nude Africa account matched numerous other online profiles linked to Robinson, and personal details shared in the posts aligned with key events in his life story.
Politico: Robinson’s Email Linked to Ashley Madison Account

In a separate report also published Thursday, Politico found that an email address belonging to Robinson was registered on Ashley Madison, a website that markets itself as a facilitator of “affairs and discrete married dating.”
- Politico cited an unnamed Robinson adviser who confirmed the email address was connected to the lieutenant governor.
- The report says the email address on the Ashley Madison account matches the one on the Nude Africa accountβthe subject of CNN’s investigation.
- Robinson did not immediately respond to Politico‘s request for comment.
